Description
A power band is commonly used by avid athletes and is the ultimate tool to take your training to the next level. Especially in cross-training, you see the bands being used frequently. They are also known as pull-up bands! They are often used for pull-ups on a bar, but also to target different muscle groups.
The extra light elastic band has dimensions of 1040 x 4.5 x 13 mm and is suitable for when you can already do many pull-ups but just need a little extra help to get through that last set. Please note that this is the lightest band you can use for pull-ups. The extra light band is very versatile, as it can also be used to train shoulders or biceps, for example by wrapping it around a pole and using it for pull-downs, pull-aparts, etc. The band offers resistance ranging from 2 to 22 kg.
Suitable exercises:
- Pull-ups with very light assistance

Power band exercises
Need some inspiration? Take a look at our fitness band exercises. Here you will find some fun variations on exercises you already know, but with added resistance. Give your squats, push-ups, and kickbacks an extra dimension with the bands. The bands are also a great addition to bench pressing. As you stretch the band further, it provides more resistance. The exercise becomes harder as you stretch further.
You can use the power band to work on your pull-ups or muscle ups. Practice the movement while you do not yet have the strength to perform sets as you would like. You will be surprised at how much technique is involved in doing a pull-up. Once you have mastered the technique, you can gradually increase your sets and switch to a lighter band or even no band at all. Before you know it, you will have them down!
